Jessie R. Franklin, age 67, of Somerset, KY. passed away on Sunday March 8, 2015 at her residence.

She was born on June 15, 1947 in Albany, KY to the late Willard and Hattie Gibson Gunter. Jessie was of Baptist Faith and a Private Home Health Care Provider. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and loved her family.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; Willard and Hattie Gunter and one brother; Ronnie Gunter.

She is survived by her husband; Gerald Franklin of Somerset, KY., three sons; Charles “Buddy” E. Jones Jr., of Somerset, KY., Chobe Newell of Lexington, KY., and Brandon Franklin of Eubank, KY., one stepson; Scottie (and Sandra) Franklin of Eubank, KY., two daughters; Michelle (and Walter) Pederson of Alaska and Rella Newell of Somerset, KY., one stepdaughter; Tracie (and Michael) Lyles of Eubank, KY., one brother; Clinton Gunter of West Virginia, two sisters; Janet (and Larry) Sams of Somerset, KY. and Kathy Gunter of Tennessee., fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 12, 2015 after 12pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday March 12, 2015 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Pine Thickett Cemetery.
