Thomas G. “Tom” Crawford age 60 of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Sunday January 25, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on April 19, 1954 in Somerset, Ky. to Lorene VanHoosier Crawford and the late Talmage Crawford Jr. Tom was a member of Slate Branch Baptist Church.
He was a retired Sales Supervisor for Kerns Bakery where he worked from 1972 to 2003 and was a driver for RTEC. He enjoyed Genealogy, UK basketball, football (especially the Steelers), listening to bluegrass music, enjoyed and loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Talmage Crawford Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Grubb Crawford whom he married on August 23, 1975 in East Bernstadt, KY. His mother, Lorene Crawford of London, Ky. Two sons, Thomas Hannon (Robin) Crawford of Science Hill, Ky. and Travis Justin (Kristi) Crawford of Science Hill, Ky. One sister, Bonnie (Jimmy) Joseph of London, Ky. Three brothers-in-law, Rick (JoAnn) Grubb of Georgetown, Ky., Jr. (Charlotte) Grubb of London, Ky. and Frank (Glenna) Grubb of London, Ky. Three sisters-in-law, Linda Malicoat of London, Ky., Jewell (Carl) Buckles of London, Ky. and Maggie (Jeff) Luoma of Georgetown, Ky. Three grandchildren, Elijah Thomas Crawford, Zachary Hannon Crawford and Austyn Lacey Crawford. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Garry and Karen Wheeldon of Bowling Green, Ky. and Wilma Girdler of the Slate Branch Community.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 27, 2015 after 5pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday January 28, 2015 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Dawson and Bro. Scott Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rick Grubb, Jr. Grubb, Frank Grubb, Jeff Luoma, Jimmy Joseph and Jerry VanHoosier.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Isaac White Cancer Fund C/O Cathy Crawford.
