David William Bolin age 64 of Barnesburg Road passed away on Saturday January 10, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on May 28, 1950 in Somerset, Ky. to the late Evenis Walker and Oshie Marie Smith Bolin.
David was a member of the Sunny Side Baptist Church. He was a retired welder for Somerset Houseboats and enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and being outdoors. He also loved old cars, trucks, motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons and loved his grandchildren. David was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Evenis and Oshie Bolin. One brother, Dale Bolin and two sisters, Juanita Bottom, Kathy Bolin and one infant sister.
He is survived by his wife Sondra Jean Bolin, whom he married on June 17, 1975 in the Piney Grove Community. One son, David William (and Denise) Bolin Jr. of Eubank, Ky. One daughter, Amber Nichole Tucker of Shopville, Ky. Three brothers, Hubert William (and Susie) Bolin of Somerset, Ky; Alvin (and Alpha) Bolin of Louisville, Ky. and Robin “Bobby” Bolin of Somerset, Ky. Four sisters, Anna (and Allen) Holloway of Somerset, Ky; Linda (and Cecil) Phillips of Bronston, Ky; Glenda (and Donnie) Blevins of Louisville, Ky. and Donna Fultz of Somerset, Ky. Also survived by seven grandchildren, William Scott Bolin, Dameckia Cheyanne Bolin, Audrey Nichole Martin, Harley Jean Tucker, Ashley Blasingim, Chelsea Blasingim and Holly Blasingim.
Visitation will be held on Monday January 12, 2015 from 5pm until 9pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday January 13, 2015 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Lawson and Bro. Buddy Barnett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
