Leon Norman Varon, born April 3, 1939 passed away on December 27, 2014.

He was born in Chicago and raised in San Diego, California.

He is survived by his children, Serena Hatton, Norman Varon, Jessica Eels, Candace Hilton, Mario Foight and Joanne Koppe. He was the oldest of four siblings, leaving behind Stuart Varon, Elisabeth DeBolt and Linda Varon. Leon was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He spent the last several years in Somerset, Ky. in the loving care of his daughter Serena. He was a kind, generous and caring man who will be missed by many. A graduate of Hoover High School Class of 1957. His sense of humor was unique and he has left us all with many wonderful memories of time we shared with him. If love could have saved him, he would have never left.

In accordance to his wishes there will be no funeral service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Leon Varon.
