Mr. Charles W. “Buggy” Dowell, Jr, Age 33, of the Tateville Community passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Charles was born on August 26, 1981 to the late Charles W. Sr. and Betty Sue Strunk Dowell.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, demolition derby, riding dirt bikes, listening to country music and loved to work. He was employed by Decker Logging as a Logger, a graduate of Pulaski County High School Class of 2000 and he attended New Hope Church of God of Prophecy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Betty Dowell.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Hayes Dowell, whom he married August 26, 2011 at The New Hope Church of God of Prophecy; Stepson, Joseph Hayes of Tateville, KY; Stepdaughters, Ronda Dick and Michelle Dick, both of Tateville, KY; Sisters, Carolyn (and Johnny) Cox, Mary Dowell, Lisa (and Tom) Decker, and Barb (and Tracey) Wilson, all of Tateville, KY; Nephews, Ricky “Bubby” Swift, Bunchie Wilson and Pooh Wilson; Nieces, Kayla Alcorn and Tanya Davis; Great Nephews, Dustin Davis, Jacob Wesley, Harley Wesley and Tater Davis; Great Niece, Katie Bug Wesley; along with several Uncles, Aunts and Carrol Coyler, who was like family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 21, 2014 after 6:00pm at The Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 2:00pm at The Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Garner Bell and Bro. Roger Dykes officiating.
Burial will be in the New Bronston Cemetery.
