Atthenia Neal, age 93 of Science Hill, KY passed away on Tuesday October 7, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born in Gray, KY on November 28, 1920 to the late B.W. and Nannie Brafford Setser.
Atthenia was a faithful member of Saline Baptist Church for over 34 years. She enjoyed being with her family, making quilts, and her flower garden.
She is preceded in death by her husband Talmadge Neal of 59 years. Her parents B.W and Nannie Setser, her brothers, Henry Setser, Bev Setser,
William Setser, her sisters, Beulah Setser, Muriel Harrison, a granddaughter, Sherry Jernigan Wilson and a great granddaughter, Suzanna Heist.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (David) Kinser of Eubank, KY., Janice (Eddie) Jernigan of Science Hill, KY., and Donna (Gary) Waddle of Hartselle, AL., three brothers Jim Setser of Cincinnati, OH., Bill Setser of Milford, OH., and Sam (Nancy) Setser of Munsford, KY., two sisters, Wilma Helton of Goshen, OH. And Elma (Oscar) Crawford of Cincinnati, OH., ten grandchildren Jim Monhollen, David (Amanda) Kinser, Amber (Jon) Mills, Amy (Terry) Tucker, Tammy (David) Dorsey, Lori (T.R) Ard, Tonya (Matthew Stinnett) Jernigan, Benjamin Waddle, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Hindman, Katelyn Waddle fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday October 12, 2014 after 5pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday October 13, 2014 at 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother Noah Broughton and Brother Melvin Sisson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery.
