Marcella Hutchinson age 81 of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Saturday October 4, 2014 at her residence.
She was born on February 15, 1933 in Leipsic, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Frances Siment Roof.
Marcella was a member of St. Mildred’s Catholic Church.
She was a retired cook and enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing card games, embroidering, cross stitching, bowling, watching NASCAR races and sports.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Arthur Hutchinson. One son, Galen Junior Mayes. Three brothers, Leonard Roof, Alford Roof and Leo Roof and one sister, Leona Horstman. She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Chrystal) Mayes of Fayetteville, N.C. and Arthur (Mary) Hutchinson of Eubank, Ky. Three daughters, Kathy (William) Bradford of Branden, Fla., Cindy (William) Klaber of Falmouth, Ky. and Rita (Jimmy) Smith of Indiana. One brother, Wilbert Roof of Columbus Grove, Ohio and one sister, Mildred McGuire of Ft. Myers, Fla. Also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 8, 2014 after 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday October 8, 2014 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to God’s Good Pantry or the Bethany House.
