Joyce Loveless, age 84, of Science Hill, Ky. passed away Thursday October 2, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Elmwood, OH on September 10, 1930 to the Rev. Silas New and Alpha Daulton New.
Joyce retired from Palm Beach after twenty years of service as a seamstress.
She is survived by one son, Earl (Betty) Loveless of Science Hill, Ky. One daughter, Lynda (Harold) Taylor of Mt. Washington, Ky. Five grandchildren, Krystal (Chris) Kelly and Erik (Holly) Loveless all of Science Hill, Ky. , Brent (Karen) Taylor and Travis Taylor of Mt. Washington, Ky. and Tammie Faber of Bardstown, Ky. Eight great-grandchildren, Victoria Kelly, Faithlyn, Rebekah and Emilee Loveless, Wesley and Zachary Taylor, and Lauren and Alyssa Faber. Five sisters, Lois Cooper, Joann Shadoan, Elaine Gibson, Wanda Sue Walters and Mary Brotherton.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Loveless, her parents, one son Carroll Wayne Loveless, and three brothers, Robert, Bill and Paul New. One sister, Sheila Kay Shadoan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday October 4, 2014 after 5pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday October 5, 2014 at 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Science Hill, Ky.
Pallbearers will be Brent and Travis Taylor, Erik Loveless, Chris Kelly, Jeff New and Carroll Loveless.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
