Roger Lloyd Shackelford age 62 of Monticello, KY passed away on Saturday September 27, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.
He was born on April 16, 1952 to the late Bobby Joe and Susan Sorgmerlino Shackelford.
Roger was a member of AM Vets and enjoyed fishing, bird watching, bragging on his children, and riding his motorcycle.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Bobby and Susan Shackelford.
He is survived by his wife; Cynthia Hodges Shackelford. Three sons; Roger Shackelford of Philadelphia, PA., Matthew Shackelford (Emily Singleton) of Newport, KY., and Luis Quejano of Monticello, KY. Bruce Westerfield of Somerset, KY. whom was like a son to him and also Kenny Hatfield of Somerset, KY. whom was like a brother to him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 2, 2014 after 11am in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday October 2, 2014 at 1pm in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
