Frank Kenneth Kessinger Sr. age 81 of Elkhorn, KY passed away on Monday September 8, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on July 8, 1933 to the late Thomas and Viola Raymer Kessinger.
Frank was of Apostolic Faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering with things and loved his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Thomas and Viola Kessinger. Two sons; Gene Thomas Kessinger and Kenny Kessinger. One brother and sister-in-law; Glenn and Dorothy Kessinger. One sister and brother-in-law; Evelyn and Regionald Raggard. And one grandson.
He is survived by five sons; John (Julie) Kessinger of Campbellsville, KY, Darrell (Pat) Kessinger of Indiana, Charles Kessinger of Ohio, Tony Kessinger of Indian, Jason Kessinger of Louisville, KY, and Porter Kessinger of Louisville, KY. Four daughters; Marian Knifley of Adair County, Laura (Ed) Oller of Indiana, Hope Morgan of Tennessee, and Viola Chaney of Somerset, KY. Two brothers; Joe (Grace) Kessinger of Louisville, KY and Bill (Brenda) Kessinger of Indiana. Two sisters; Virginia Goatley of Louisville, KY and Evelyn Kessinger of Idaho. Twenty seven grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 12, 2014 after 6pm in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday September 13, 2014 at 11am in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother Harold Harris officiating.
Burial will be in the Chaney-McCallister Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Frank Kenneth Kessinger Sr. Memorial Fund.
