Rodney Chester Pate, age 37 of Lexington, Ky. passed away on Friday August 29, 2014 at the UK Medical Center.
He was born on December 30, 1976 in Middletown, Ohio to Meredith “Mac” Pate and Nancy Frish Howell.
Rodney enjoyed working with any kind of motor and playing basketball.
He is survived by his parents, Meredith “Mac” (and Shelia) Pate of Somerset, Ky. and Nancy (and Charles) Howell of Ohio. One son, Dakota “Cody” Pate of Bradenton, Fla. and one daughter, McKayla Pate of Bradenton, Fla. One sister, Stephanie (and Ryan) Robinson of N.C. Two step-sisters, Stephanie (and Jason) Freudiger of Ohio and Kendra (and Nathan) Eubank of Eubank, Ky. Two step-brothers, Christopher Daws of Somerset, Ky. and Charlie Howell of Trenton, Ohio. His grandmother, June Berberick of Pa. and his step-grandmother, Jerry Howell of Trenton, Ohio. Also survived by a niece, Lily Robinson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 3, 2014 after 4pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 3, 2014 at 6pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating.
