Julie Ann Viars, age 54 of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Friday August 22, 2014 at Central Baptist Health Hospital.

She was born on December 28, 1959 in Fort Thomas, Ky. to Eva Dell Cooper Chaplin and the late Bro. Jack Robert “Bob” Chaplin.

As a child Julie attended Duvall Valley Pentecostal Church and later Julie attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved and enjoyed being a part of classic/muscle cars with her daughter Whitney Viars and her husband Bill Viars.

She is preceded in death by her Father, Bro. Jack Robert “Bob” Chaplin.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Viars of Somerset, Ky. One step-son; James Viars of Somerset, Ky. One Daughter; Whitney Viars of Somerset, Ky. Two step-daughters; Shana Campbell and Rachel Burton. Eight brothers; Tony (Marilyn) Chaplin of Monticello, Ky., Bro. Clay (Linda) Chaplin of Monticello, Ky., Paul (Martha) Chaplin of Monticello, Ky., Jim (Tammy) Chaplin of Monticello, Ky., Tom (Jerrina) Chaplin of Monticello, Ky., John (Jennifer) Chaplin of Monticello, Ky., Lonnie (Rachel) Chaplin of Monticello, Ky., and Matthew Chaplin of Monticello, Ky. Three sisters; Connie Chaplin (Roger Hall) of Monticello, Ky., Sarndra (Mark) Upchurch of Stanford, Ky., Rebecca Morrow of Monticello, Ky. and nine step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 26, 2014 after 6pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday August 27, 2014 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Sutton and Brother Daniel Walker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
