Martha Lonnie Nevels, age 70 of Bronston, Ky. passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at her residence.
She was born on May 24, 1944 in Wayne Co. Ky. to the late Charlie and Artie Phillips Kidd.
Martha was a member of the Old Fashion Faith Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, listening to gospel music and drawing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Artie Kidd. One son, Gary Nevels; three brothers, Golman Kidd, Robert Kidd, Daniel Kidd and three sisters, Zona Davis, Minnie McGhee, Ola Kidd and Vena Martin.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil Warren Nevels of Bronston, Ky. Three sons, Timothy Nevels, Tony Nevels and Benjamin Nevels, all of Bronston, Ky, one daughter, Penny (Kevin) Livengood of Bronston, Ky, four grandchildren, Jeffrey Cogdill, Zachary Cogdill, Bethany Nevels, and Christopher Nevels, one sister, Dessie Dalton of the Kidder Community, a sister-in-law who’s like a sister, Charity Kidd of Bronston, Ky.
Visitation will be held on Friday August 15, 2014 after 6pm in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 16, 2014 at 2pm in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother Farrell Morros and Brother Harold Rose officiating.
Burial will follow in the Loveall Cemetery in Wayne County.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Martha Nevels Memorial Fund.
