Gordon Wayne McKee age 63 of Alpine, Ky. passed away on Friday July 25, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on October 7, 1950 in Somerset, Ky. to the late Arthur and Virginia Sexton McKee.
Wayne was of the Baptist faith. He was a truck driver and enjoyed watching Nascar, hunting and spending time with his grandbaby.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Ira McKee and one sister Sandra McKee.
He is survived by his wife Katherine McKee. His daughter, Melissa McKee of Alpine, Ky. and his God-Son, Mason Stout of Science Hill, Ky. Two brothers, Arthur Ray (Karen) McKee and Danny (Sandy) McKee all of Indiana. One sister, Donna McKee of Cincinnati, Ohio and a grandson, Drew McKinlee Hunt.
Visitation will be held on Sunday July 27, 2014 after 6pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday July 28, 2014 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Earl Owens officiating.
Burial will follow in Neeley’s Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the family or to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
