Leslie Phenes, age 92 of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Sunday June 15, 2014 at the Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center.
He was born on November 23, 1921 in Pine Valley, New York to the late Earl James and Ruth Brown Phenes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ruth Phenes.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Scounten Phenes. Two sons, Earl (Jewell) Phenes of Somerset, Ky. and Scott (Dawn) Phenes of New York. Four daughters, Jackie, Debbie (Scott) Simpson of New York, Ann(Joe) Palmer of Somerset, Ky. and Elaine Palmer of New York. Also survived by many grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday June 20, 2014 beginning at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 3pm.
Burial will be in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scott Palmer, Nick Palmer, Michael Wright, Bobby Ashberry, Steven Palmer and Jacob Shepherd.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
