Freda Pauline Gibson, Age 68, of the Bronston community passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born on November 28, 1945 in Monticello, Indiana to the late Clarence “Tanky” Burton and Ida Dalton Burton, of Nancy, KY. She was a homemaker and member of Denham Street Baptist Church, whom enjoyed yard saleing, watching WLJC, Gospel music, music and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Russell Gibson of Bronston, KY whom she married September 7, 1964 in Ringgold, GA.; her mother; two sons, Willard Russell (and Betty) Gibson of Bronston, KY and Allen (and Rhonda) Gibson of Nancy, KY; two daughters, Donna (and Kurby) Perrigan, of Amhurst, OH and Rhonda (and Bill) Kennedy of Bronston, KY; mother in law, Stella Mae Gibson Jones of Eubank, KY; four brothers, Darrell (and Pam) Burton, Dale (and Bertha) Burton, Lawrence Burton and David (and Candi) Burton all of Nancy, KY; three sisters, Christine (and Jerry) Pyles of Burnside, KY, Clarene (and Danny) Stephens, of Nancy, KY and Lisa (and Ronnie) Hall of Somerset, KY; 18 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; a son, Wendell Ray Gibson; and a sister, Daphene Lockard.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 4:00-8:00pm at Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 9, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Blake Pinson and Bro. David Muse officiating.
Pallbearers will be provided by her Grandsons, Tyler Thompson, Cody Gibson, Eli Gibson, Noah Edwards, Jeremy DeBorde, Jordan DeBorde, Thomas Kennedy and Timothy Gibson.
Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
