Sally Harris, Age 65, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on November 30, 1948 in Clay County, KY to the late Theo Willie Harris and the late Dessie Smith Stacey.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Post 125 Am Vets, and the American Legion Post 38 Ladies Auxillary. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Bingo, and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jesse Whitaker; her parents; and a sister, Marilyn Bushfield.
She is survived by a Son, J.B. Whitaker of Somerset, KY; two daughters, Melissa (and Eric) Gibson of Somerset, KY and Teresa King of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers, Darrel (and Cheryl) Stacey and Walter Lee Stacey, both of London, KY; two sisters, Faye Sizemore of FL and Venile Stacey of London, KY; Grandchildren, Brandon Harbaum, Cody Middleton, Jamie Delisle, Natasha Whitaker and Layla Gibson; two great grandchildren, Malaya and Madyson Harbaum; Aunt, Flo (and Marvin) Smith of Somerset, KY; Best friends, Diana Parkey and Evelyn Cox both of Somerset, KY and Sherry (and Tom) Hibbard of London, KY whom were like family.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 31, 2014 after 1:00pm at the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Harris officiating.
