Roy passed away May 9, 2014 at his residence in Tateville, Kentucky at the age of 81. He was born in Dixie Bend, Kentucky on December 23, 1932 to Abb and Elsie Lowery Hill.
He was a member of Grave Hill Baptist Church and retired from Cooper Power Plant in Burnside. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren along with hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Haynes Hill, whom he married January 28, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is also survived by two sons, Mike (Lee) Hill of Burnside and Jimmy Hill of Tateville; daughters, Patricia (Lee) Murphy of White Lily, Becky (Billy) Bell of Somerset; Eleven Grandchildren, Mike Hill Jr., Ashlee Hill, Jessica Furnish, Dusty Murphy, Jimmy Hill Jr., Timothy Hill, Jason Hill, Crystal Whiles, Jerry Wayne Reynolds, Billy Joe Bell, Zachary Bell and several great grandchildren; sister, Bertha Phillips.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Abb and Elsie Hill; One dauther, Kathy Reynolds; granddaughter, Danielle Reynolds; Six Brothers, Gilbert, Johnny, CL, Hobert Abb Jr., and Arnold. Four Sisters, Laury Roberts, Lena Haynes, Carolyn Hill, and Isabelle Hill.
Visitation for Mr. Hill will be Monday May 12, 2014 at 6 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday May 13, 2014 at 1 P.M. with Bro. Darry Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the Sloans Valley Cemetery.
