William Kyle Shelton, age 34 of the Oak Hill Community in Somerset, Ky. passed away on Monday April 14, 2014 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He was born on April 13, 1980 in Somerset, Ky. to William B. Shelton and Kathy Barnes.
Kyle was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1998 graduate of Southwestern High School and enjoyed dirt bike racing, fishing, boating, the outdoors and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lesley Cox Shelton.
He is survived by his father, William B. Shelton and special friend Lorrie Compton of Somerset, Ky. and his mother, Kathy Barnes and step-father Joe McKinley of Somerset, Ky. Three children, William Evan Shelton, Macey Shea Shelton and Madison Kelly Shelton all of Somerset, Ky. A special friend, Jamie Cook of Somerset, Ky.
Visitation will be held on Thursday April 17, 2014 after 6pm in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 18, 2014 at 2pm in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Brown and Bro. Daniel Carmack officiating.
Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be JoeJoe McKinley, Charlie Sears, Billy Baker, B.J. Coomer, Rodney Daulton, Nathan Shelton, Nicholas Shelton and Noah Shelton.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the William Kyle Shelton Memorial Fund.
