Meryle Lee Mounce Harris, age 73 of Norwood, Ohio and formerly of the Poplarville Community of Pulaski Co. passed away on Tuesday April 8, 2014.
She was born on April 20, 1940 in Poplarville, Ky. to the late Orville and Lurlene Sears Mounce. Meryle was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, flea marketing, gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bearl Harris, whom she married on May 25, 1959 in Jellico, Tn. Her parents, two brothers, Earl Mounce and Richard Mounce and one sister, Gloria Knight.
She is survived by one son, Michael (Myra) Harris of Camp Springs, Ky. Three daughters, Deborah (and the late James Jr.) Cromer of Norwood, Ohio; Ronda (James) Trammell of Liberty Township, Ohio and Carol Harris of Norwood, Ohio. Three sisters, Violet (Bill) Brinson of Mt. Carmel, Ohio; Jean (Wayne) Sumpter of Deer Park, Ohio and Ruby (James) Carty of Somerset, Ky. Five grandchildren, Michael (Pam) Harris, Timothy (Jessica) Trammell, Clinton Cromer, Katelynn Harris and Kayla Cromer. Five great-grandchildren, Payton Harris, Cole Harris, Sadie Trammell, Case Harris and Josiah Trammell. Also leaves behind a host of friends and relatives to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 11, 2014 after 6pm in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 12, 2014 at 10am in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Harris officiating.
Burial will follow in the Acorn Cemetery.
