Anna Brooks, age 89 of Somerset, KY passed away Saturday December 28, 2013 at Somerwoods Nursing Home.
She was born on December 16, 1924 in Lincoln Co. KY to the late Luther and Della Williams Floyd.
Anna was a former hospital volunteer and a lifetime homemaker. She enjoyed reading, music and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Her former husband, Ralph Brooks. One daughter, Judy Brooks. Two brothers, Roy Floyd and Leslie Floyd. Son in law, Lloyd B. Richardson and a grandson, Christopher Allen Carroll.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Brooks Richardson of Somerset, KY. Three grandchildren, Judd Carroll, Tina Carroll and Jacob (Patricia) Carroll. One great-grandchild, Brittany L. Carroll.
There will be a private family service Thursday January 2, 2014 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Eubank Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Mental Health Disorder Orginization.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.
