David L. Rader, age 68 of the Oak Hill community passed away on Thursday November 28, 2013 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. David was born on October 30, 1945 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky to the late Ballard and Edith Barnes Rader. Mr. Rader was a member of the Canyon Park Church in London. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and cooking.
Mr. Rader leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Linda Slusher Rader; sons, Brian (Diana) Rader of Brooksville, Florida and Jody (Serena) Roberts of London, Kentucky; daughter, Amy (Glenn) Chesnut of London, Kentucky and Kristin (Travis) Ayres of London, Kentucky; brother, Earl (JoAnn) Rader of Somerset; sisters, Betsie (Harold) Wilder of Springfield, Ohio, Thelma (Wayne) Harding of Mount Vernon, Kentucky, Geraldine (Lonnie) Reppert of Berea and Mary (Greg) Pierce of Arkansas; uncles, Immanuel (Barbara) Rader of Mount Vernon, Earl (Ruby) Rader of Georgia; Along with twelve grandchildren and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise Philbeck; son, Jeffery Rader; brothers, Ballard C. Rader Jr. and Roy Lee Rader.
Visitation for Mr. Rader will be Saturday November 30, 2013 starting at 5 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday December 1, 2013 at 2PM in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Grimes and Bro.Wayne Hardin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
