Darrell Perkins, age 68 of Monticello, KY passed away Thursday November 14, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on January 29, 1945 in Ross, OH to the late Troy and Cora Shepherd Perkins.
He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator. Darrell was baptised when he was a young boy and was a woderful father, loving man and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Denver Perkins, Virgil Perkins, Dave Perkins and Donald Perkins.
He is survived by his wife, D. Joanna Brinson Perkins, whom he married on July 3, 1973 in Johnson County, IN. One son, Trent (Cara) Perkins of Knoxville, TN and two step-sons, Tracy (Pam) Mounce of Mt Victory, KY and Troy Vandiver of Monticello, KY. Two daughters, Telisa (Gary) Kinnett of Bronston, KY and Teranda (JR Reed) Perkins of Campbellsville, KY. One step-daughter, Tammy (Damon) Vandiver White of Campbellsville, KY. Two brothers, Paul (Carol) Perkins of Greesburg, IN and Dale (Joy) Perkins of Greensburg, IN. One sister, Darlene Perkins of Greesburg, IN. Three grandchildren, Tisha Jones, Destiny Foust and Jayden Dennis. Two great-grandchildren, Raegan Jones and Adynn Dewit.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date by the family.
In lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
