Lucy Mae Mize Age 73 of Somerset, Ky. passed away Sunday September 22, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on February 10, 1940 in Wayne Co. Ky. to the late Sherman and Della Burris Bates.
She was of the Nazarene faith and enjoyed bingo.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward J. Mize. One brother, Earl Benton Bates and one sister, Virginia Harris.
Survived by one son, Sherman Edward Mize of the Slate Branch Community, Somerset,Ky. Two brothers, Sherman K. (Mary Faith) Bates of Bronston, Ky. and Edward Douglas (Sue) Bates of Science Hill, Ky. One sister, Carolyn Dick. Two grandchildren, Sherman Edward Mize Jr. and Harley Eugene Mize. One great-grandchild, Emory J. Mize.
Visitation will by held Tuesday September 24, 2013 after 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September 24, 2013 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Nicholas officiating.
Burial will be in the Mize Cemetery.
Pallbearers will by Harley Mize. E.J. Mize, Paul Meece, Bobby Meece, Robbie Pitman and Zack.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
