Dale Adrian Kennedy was born on April 18, 1960 to the late Emily A. Wilson and Charles C. Kennedy of Shelbyville, KY. He was a graduate of the Shelby County High School and a member of the 1978 State Championship Basketball team his senior year. His championship heart was something that he cherished throughout his life. After High School he attended Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Ky.

Dale was an avid sports and “die-heart” U of L fan. His other passions was to watch western TV shows, “shop til you drop” and his Friday night poker games as well as his pride in his grilling skills. Dale was known throughout our community for his generosity to his family and friends as well as his love for his children. He often expressed his love and desire for his children to succeed in life and inspired them to achieve their life goals.

In addition to his Parents, he was predeceased by his oldest brother, Tyrone Wilson and his Grandmother Evelyn Wilson who made a lasting impact on his life along with his Aunt Lacy Wilson & Iona Wilson and his Uncle Rev. Elmore Wilson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Jennifer Kennedy. His children Adrian Robinson, Jordan Clark, Jessica Kennedy all of Shelbyville, KY and Remy Kennedy of Georgetown College, Georgetown, KY. 3 grandchildren, T.J., Jay and Montell all of Shelbyville, KY. Sister; Canidy Y. (Thomas) Barnett, James “Jamie” M. Wilson, Shauna I. Wilson, George L. Wilson and Christopher (Christy) Wilson all of Shelbyville, KY, Aunt and personal mentor Brenda Wilson, of Frankfort, KY, Aunts Barbara Wilson and Mary (Leon) Benson of Louisville, KY, Evangelist Bernice (Elder Eric) Barnes of Somerset, KY, Uncles Sherman Wilson, Greg (Marla) Hunter and Lucien (Kimberly) Hunter, Jr. all of Shelbyville and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday September 26 from 5pm to 9 pm at Clay Street Baptist Church, Shelbyville, KY, Funeral will be Friday at 1:00 Pm at Clay Street Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Barnes, Bishop Eric Barnes and Rev. Robert Marshall officiating. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Shelbyville, KY.
