Michael Cagney Nicholas (Mikey) resident of Burnside, Ky. passed away at home on Wednesday June 12, 2013.
He was born at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital March 8, 1986. The beloved son of Michael D. and Tina Nicholas.
He is survived by his parents and one sister, Trista Smith and her husband Shane of Burnside, Ky. and 2 very special nephews, Colton and Alex smith. His paternal grandparents Anna and Ganzie Nicholas of Burnside, Ky. and his maternal grandmother, Mary Wallace of Tateville, Ky. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends and co-workers. One cousin was very dear to Mickey, his cousin Jacob Wallace.
Mikey graduated SWHS in 2004. He worked at Alton Blakely Ford as Parts Counter Salesman. Mikey was greatest at whatever he wanted to do. He loved life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and just hanging out and playing with his nephews, shooting basketball and playing video games. Mikey was such a wonderful and caring young man and truly held a dear spot in everyone’s heart. He was Trista’s little brother and best friend to her and many of his cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday June 16th from 6pm to 9pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held Monday June 17th at 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Spradlin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
