Mrs. Rose Marie Reece Walden Age 84, of Somerset, wife of the late Joe Ruben Walden, passed away late Sunday evening, June 2, 2013 at her home in Somerset, surrounded by her loving family

She was born May 30, 1929 in Mooreland, IN to the late Vance and Lenore Reece. She was united in marriage to Joe Ruben Walden on Aug. 24, 1946. She lived most of her life in Indiana and was a retired Nurse from New Castle, In. State Hospital after many years of service. She moved to Pulaski Co. in 1975 where she and Joe opened and ran the Cave Creek Tackle Box in Blue John. Rose loved gardening, crocheting and spending as many hours with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as she possibly could. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She is survived by her three children, Suella (Roger) Boling, Somerset, Larry (Susie) Walden, Somerset, Jerry (Kathy) Walden, New Castle, IN., eight grandchildren, Kent Adkins (Stacy), Nicholasville, Ky., Ms. Lorie Lee Boling-Dykes, Ty Boling, Chad Walden, Abby Walden, Bradley Bertram, Dr. Taylor Walden and Kyle Walden. Eight great grandchildren, Kaley McClure-Boling, Jacey Boling, Julia Boling, Kelsea Dills, Hunter Beth Dykes, Savannah Dykes, Landon Adkins and Rachel Walden. Two great great grandchildren, Sophia Ella Rose Ramey and Isiah Hensley. Three sisters, Ruth Harris, Hagerstown, IN., Berry Hinshaw, Avaon, IN., and Evelyn Bullis, Las Vegas, NV.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joe Ruben Walden, a son William “Billy” Vance Walden, a grandson Kelly Joe Adkins, a granddaughter Carrie Jo Walden, parents Lenore and Vance Reece, siblings Henry “Hank” Reece, Jack Reece, Gladys Wissler, Loraine Eilar, Imogene Keesling, Mary Williams and Margaret Baker.

Memorial Services will be held at 2p.m. Saturday June 8, 2013 at Kingdom Hall, 740 Monticello St. Somerset, Ky.

A Visitation will be held prior to Memorial Service from 12-2pm.

For those who would like to attend, a dinner will be held after the service at Southern Oaks Funeral Home, 2110 W. Hwy. 914, Somerset, Ky.

Interment of the cremains will take place at a later date at Southmound Cemetery in New Castle, IN.
