Richard Bradshaw Age73, of Race Track Road of Burnside, Ky.Passed away Tuesday May 28TH AT Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born February 10, 1940 in Ferguson to the late Sherman Bradshaw and Hazel Dykes Bradshaw Gibson. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Kingsford Charcoal Co. Richard enjoyed fishing, bingo and Burnside Race Track.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his step father John Gibson.Also preceded by a son, Michael Bradshaw, a daughter Carolyn Beasley,Brothers, Forrest Gibson and James Bradshaw, a sister Pearl Shelburne.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy New Bradshaw whom he married on April 21, 1960 in Somerset, KY., from this union they were blessed with daughters, Connie Hall of Somerset and Christie Bradshaw of Burnside. Also surviving is his brothers, Carl (Marie) Bradshaw, Tommy Ray (Peggy) Gibson, George Melton all of Indiana, Clark (Norma) Gibson of Burnside, Jerry (Lula May) Gibson of Alpine, Ky. and Robert (Phyllis) Gibson of South Carolina.Sisters, Barbara (Merl) Veek of Fla., Frances Gibson of Ky., Lillie Tennis of Ind.,Josephine Fields of Ind., Mary (Johnny) Denney of Faubush, Ky.Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday May 30, 2013 after 11a.m. in the Chapel A of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral service Thursday May 30, 2013 at 2p.m. in the Chapel A of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother Harold Harris officiating.
Burial will be in the Sloans Valley Cemetery.
