Eli Saylor age 70, of Somerset passed away on Friday May 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Lincoln County on November 22, 1932 to the late Roy and Mary P. Mckinney Saylor. Mr. Saylor proudly served his country in the United States Army where he retired form.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Helen Carole Stafford Saylor whom he married on August 6, 1983 in West Liberty, Kentucky; brother, William Saylor; along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Herbert Saylor; infant brother, Boyd Saylor; Sisters, Evelyn McMullin, Thelma McKinney, Grecian Brock, Bonnie Allen, Helen Smith, and Jewell Saylor.
Visitation for Mr. Saylor will be Tuesday May 21, 2013 at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks. Funeral Services will follow at 1 P.M. with Chaplin George Michael Girdler and Chaplin Clarence Floyd officiating. Interment will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery, Nancy, Kentucky. American Legion Post 38 Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
