Stanley Denton Flynn Age 63 son of the late Hurstle and Mildred Morrow Flynn was born September 25, 1949 in Bronston, Ky. and graduated to heaven May 4, 2013.
He accepted Jesus as his personal savior at an early age at Piney Grove Baptist Church.
He was united in marriage to Beverly Smith Flynn on May 2, 1975 at Pleasant Run Baptist Church and Stanley proudly served in the United States Army in Korea. He was owner and operator of Flynn’s Lawn Care and former owner and operator of Flynn’s Trucking co. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and entertaining family and friends. The thing he cherished most in life was spending time with his grandchildren, Jerrica and Greyson.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Smith Flynn, one son, Barry Denton Flynn and wife Lily of Dallas, Texas and two grandchildren Jerrica Flynn and Greyson Flynn.
Other survivors are his brother and sisters, Brenda (Dave) Cline, Glenda (the late Gary) Hunley, Debbie (Ted) Harris, Don (Cheryl) Flynn, Jeff (Vanessa) Flynn and Dwight (Linda) Flynn.
Also surviving are his father in law and mother in law, Vola and Mildred Smith
And many cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Hurstle and Mildred Flynn and his beloved son, Jeremy Scott Flynn.
Visitation Tuesday May 7, 2013 after 5pm at Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home and after 8 am on Wednesday May 8th till funeral service time.
Funeral Services Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 2PM at the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral with Brother Chester New, Brother Geral Wells and Brother Granville Morrow officiating.
Full Military Honors will be performed by the American LegionPost 38 Honor Guard.
Burial will be in the Flynn Cemetery Bronston, Ky.
