Dewayne Lewis, age 50 of Burnside passed away on March 6, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born on May 28, 1962 in McCreary County to George and Joyce Lewis. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ginseng, and being outdoors.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his father, George Lewis; mother, Joyce Lewis; son, Andrew Thomas; brothers, Larron (Karen) Lewis, Jeffrey Allen (Bobbi) Lewis, and Kevin Lewis; uncles, James Lewis, Gerald Lewis, Gary (Teresa) Hill, and Tommy Hill; aunts, Gentonda (Buster) Dowell, Ann Childers, Francis Lewis, Patricia Cox and Sandy Phelps; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews surviving.
Visitation for Mr. Lewis will be Friday, March 8, 2013 from 11- 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home and funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Harold Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Sloans Valley Cemetery.
