Natasha Michia Jones, age 27 of Bronston, Ky., passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 after a long battle with cervical cancer. She was born in Somerset on Jan. 17, 1986, the daughter of Jeffrey Jones and Rebecca Miller Jones Thompson. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Somerset where she accepted Jesus as her Savior at the conclusion of a Christmas program while still in costume! She was able to express herself eloquently in writing and was very artistic. She was intelligent and beautiful. She had the potential to be a professional in decorating, fashions, photography, etc. She was employed by Belk of Somerset as an Estee Lauder cosmetic consultant and at Dillards of Lexington before her health failed. She cherished the love her boys had for her and she had for them.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Brandon Jones, her three children Caleb Marcus, Levi Caden, and Elijah Trey Seward, also her step daughter Elle Jones, her parents ,father, Jeffrey Jones, mother, Rebecca Jones, step father Randy Thompson, brother, Jordan Jones, grandparents Marilyn K. Bullock and Robert Miller, Faye Jones, a great grandmother Wilda Vanhook, great grandfather Fred Heath, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins who morn her passing.
Her grandfather, Arlie “Tom” Jones preceded her in death. A special thanks to the friends and family who showed their support with love and prayers and especially Hospice of Somerset who cared for her so lovingly during these last few months.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening Feb. 27 at 5:00 pm at the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at the funeral home at 2:00 pm Thursday , Feb. 28, 2013 with Bro. Scotty Nix and Bro. Chris Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
