Laurrel Hugh Bland, age 51, passed away on Sunday February 10, 2013 at his residence.Mr. Bland was born March 6, 1961 to the late Laurrel E. Bland and Darlene Bolin Bland of Faubush, Kentucky. Laurrel enjoyed spending time with his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Connie, to whom he married May 22, 1982; daughters Monica Rhymer and her fiancée Allan Widmeyer of Russell Springs; grandchildren Kotila Rhymer, and Nevaeh Widmeyer; sister Sharon (Bob) Brown of Jabez, Ky. ; brothers, Cameron (Robin) Bland of Somerset, Lee (Stacy) Bland of Nancy, Ky., Brian (Lola) Bland of Nancy, Ky. ; nieces, Ashley, Leighann, ShyAnne, Faith, Kayla, and Angela; nephews, Cody, David, Justin, Douglas, Steven,and Brandon; Mother-in-law, Mary Ruth Daniel of Windsor, Ky.;and numerous family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Laurrel Jr., Steven Norfleet Bland, and Denzel L. Owens.
Visitation for Mr. Bland will be held Thursday February 14, 2013 at 5 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Friday February 15, 2013 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Cleveland Johnson officiating.Interment in the Chesterview Cemetery, Nancy, Ky.
