Marvin Lee VanHook age 56, of Somerset passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Mr. VanHook was born on October 22, 1956 in Somerset to Howard VanHook and Ruth Rose. Marvin was a member of the Zion Baptist Church and he was an avid fisherman.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his father, Howard VanHook; son, Jared (Amanda) of Somerset; daughters, Erica VanHook of Somerset, Stacy (Mark) Brown, and Jennifer New of Cartersville, Georgia; brother, Steven H. (Tracey) VanHook of Somerset; sisters, Debbie (Allen) Hall of Somerset, Karen Carrender of Somerset, Cindy VanHook, Regina (Randy) Irvin of Cartersville, Georgia, Jessica (Duane) Wilson of Somerset; Along with 16 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth H. Rose.
A celebration of life memorial service will take place on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at 2 P.M. at Potters Place Church
