Roger Allen Grundy, age 62 of Somerset passed away on Thursday January 17, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Mr. Grundy was born in McCreary County on December 13, 1950 to the late Walter Homer and Lessie Roberts Grundy. He was a member of the Somerset V.F.W. and was of the Baptist faith.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, sons, Jeff (Jessica) Grundy of Somerset, Tyler Coe of McCreary County, and Clarence Girdler of Somerset; brothers, Larry Grundy of Somerset, Watler Grundy Jr. of Somerset; sisters, Joyce (Hutch) Hutchinson of Indiana, Norma Tuttle of Muncie, Indiana; grandchildren Alexys Grundy, Devon Grundy, Sue Ann Girdler, and Donnie Baron.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill and Phillip Grundy; sister, Rebecca Neal; special friend, Sue Girdler-Grundy
Visitation for Mr. Grundy will be Monday January 21, 2013 at 6 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Mr. Grundy will be conducted Tuesday January 22, 2013 at 11 A.M. with Bro. Mike Griffis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery. American Legion Post 38 Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
