Lervie Dalton, age 82, of Nancy, Kentucky passed away on January 16, 2013 at his residence in Nancy, Kentucky. He was born on April 29, 1930 in Delmer, Kentucky. Mr. Dalton was the son of the late Alva and Banny Burton Dalton.
Lervie was saved on August 20, 1958 and a member of the Okalona Baptist Church where he served as trustee, Youth Sunday School Teacher, and Youth Director. He was faithful in church until his health prevented him from doing so. He was a faithful husband and worked as a farmer all of his life on the family farm.
Mr. Dalton is survived by his wife, Della Weddle Dalton, whom he married on January 20, 1955; which was 57 years, 361 days. He is survived by two sisters, Ruby Hardwick of Cisco, Illinois, and Ina Burton of Nancy, Kentucky. Two sisters in law: Sylvia Dalton of Somerset, Kentucky and Mattie Dalton of Monticello, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Leston Dalton of Monticello, Illinois, Chester, Veston, and Hobert Dalton of Somerset, Kentucky; Three sisters, Linnie Burton of Ohio, Winnie Floyd and Flonnie Daulton of Nancy, Kentucky .
He leaves many nieces, nephews and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation for Mr. Dalton will be held Friday, January 18th at 3:00 P.M in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Rollin Bradshaw and Bro. David Muse officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Highway 235, and Nancy, Kentucky.
