Patsy JoAnn Johnson, age 75 of Somerset passed away on Sunday January 6, 2013 at Baptist Regional Hospital in Corbin. Mrs. Johnson was born on April 19, 1937 in Science Hill, Kentucky to the late William Conley and Ella Mae Farmer Payne. She was a member of Saline Church of God. She enjoyed collecting “Coke” memorabilia, Pomeranians, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson was a retired cashier from K-mart.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Willard R. Johnson who she married on February 15, 1986 in Jellico, Tennessee; sons, Daniel (Kathy) Wells of Somerset, David Wells (Fiancée Jeannie Mahar), Duane Wells of Bronston; stepson, Sanford Johnson of Eubank; sister, Pearl Crawford of Science Hill, Flossie Long of Science Hill, Christine (Ken) Royer of Hamilton, Ohio; grandchildren, David Brian (Martha) Wells, Shannon Patrick (Ashley) Wells, Danielle Lavon Wells, Cody James (Allison) Wells; great grandchildren, Paige Girdler, Jasmine Wells, and Ivy Wells. Special friend, Melanie Wells of Somerset;
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Fred Payne, Charles Lee Payne; sister, Bessie Ollie Gregg;
Visitation services will be held Tuesday January 8, 2013 from 5-9 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home on Wednesday January 9, 2013 with Bro. Harold Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery.
