Geneva Simpson Tarter, age 90, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away December 27, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on February 29, 1922, in Pulaski County, daughter of the late George Simpson and Earl Light Simpson. She was a homemaker and a member of White Oak Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean (and Dormus) Smith of Somerset, Kentucky. Two grandsons, Mark Daulton, Alan (and Shelly) Daulton of Nancy, Kentucky. Two great grandsons, Jaylan Daulton and Colton Daulton. A brother, Lindell Simpson of Nancy, Kentucky. Two sisters, Anna Cook of Nancy, Kentucky, and Alfreda Tarter of Somerset, Kentucky, one sister-in-law, Bernice Tarter of Somerset, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Tarter, who died May 16, 1991, her parents, and a sister, Edith Wilson.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012, at Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 31, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., with Bro. Reggie Tipton officiating in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
