Harold Conley Alton, age 60 of Tateville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday December 4, 2012 at his residence. He was born on July 24, 1952 in Burnside to the late John Hardin and Helen May West Alton. He was a member of the Baptist faith; he enjoyed talking on the CB as was known as “Snake Digger” or “Whiskey Man”. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, spending time in the garden, and eating.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Linda Cook Alton, whom he married on September 17, 1976 in Burnside, Kentucky; daughters, Shaunda (John) Marcum of Jackson, Kentucky, Melinda (Raymond) Hardwick of Bronston, Kentucky, and Donna Jones of Burnside; brothers, Herb (Donna Sue) Alton of New Castle, Indiana; sister, Doris Ann Lewis of Burnside; grandchildren, Dakota Wyatt Karriker and Malachi Conley Jones along with a host of nieces, nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Henry Regney and Gene Bottoms.
Visitation will be Thursday December 6, 2012 from 11-2 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2 P.M. with Bro. Brandon Wilson officiating. Melinda Alton, Raymond Hardwick, Donna Alton, Jason Lewis, Dewayne Cook, Christopher Lewis will be serving as pallbearers. Interment will be in the Burnside Cemetery.
