Mildred Irene Shell Helton, age 89, of Somerset passed away on November 17, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional hospital. She was born to Lawrence and Louana Buckheart Shell on August 28, 1923 in London, Kentucky. She was of the holiness faith and enjoyed flowers, gardening, her family, loved ones and time with her grandkids.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Frankie Helton of New Paris, Ohio and Donald Helton of Georgia; daughters, Geraldine (Bill) Mangas of Union City, Indiana, Marie Price of Somerset, Linda (Calvin) Wells of Mounty Victory; sisters, Faye Hensley of Indianapolis and Thelma Miller of Florida; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 13 great great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer Helton; daughter, Marlene Helton; brother, Otis Shell; sister, Mae Roth; Son in law, Wayne Price; Daughter in law, Carol Helton.
Visitation for Mrs. Helton will be Tuesday November 20, 2012 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Visitation will continue on Tuesday November 20, 2012 at Mount Calvary Community Church from Noon to 2 P.M. Funeral Services will follow at 2 P.M. With Bro. Clarence Adams officiating. Interment will be in the Bolton-Litteral Cemetery.
