John Lenvel Terry, 31, entered into his Heavenly rest on Sunday July 8th, 2012.

John was born on January 26th, 1981 in Somerset, Kentucky to Lenvel and Tereasa New Terry. John worked with the family business, “Terry Logging Company,” and enjoyed logging and digging ginseng. He was of the Baptist faith.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents, his grandmother, Mary Helton New of Burnside, Kentucky; his fiancee Debra Bennett of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; one son, Jaydin Foster of Burnside, Kentucky; three daughters, Karley Terry of Somerset, Kentucky, Inez Terry, Kiona Terry, both of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; one brother, Brian Terry of the Keno community; four sisters, Jennifer(and Jonathan) Helton) of Burnside, Kentucky, April Thomas of the Keno Community, Brandy Terry of the Keno Community; Victoria (and Darrell Jr.) Dowell of Tateville, Kentucky; nephews, Jonathan Helton, Dylan Thomas, Brandon Davis, Hunter Dowell, and Mason Davis; nieces, Dakota Davis, Hayley Davis, Gracie Dowell, and Brooklyn Terry. John is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Rhoda Taylor Terry; grandfather, Floyd New; three uncles, Calvin Terry, Ray Terry and Raymond Terry; one aunt, Florence Perkins.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 12th, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother Perry Dobbs officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 11th, 2012, after 5:00 pm at Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Pallbearers that will serve are Jonathan Helton, Dylan Thomas, Darrell Dowell Jr., Kenny Smith, Chuckie Bates, Rexall Helton, and Steven Perry.

Burial will be in the Terry Family cemetery on the Family farm.
