Roy Earl Owens, 52 the Slate Branch Community passed away Saturday July 7, 2012 at his residence. He was born October 20, 1959 to Hubert and Cloda Mae Neeley Owens. He was a mechanic and of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Owens leaves behind his mother, Cloda Mae Neeley; fiancé Melissa Dick; two sons, Tyler Neil Owens of Somerset and Jeremiah Aaron Owens of Slate Branch; two daughters, Tiffany Nicole Slavey of Somerset and Victoria Brooke Owens of Slate Branch; brother, Ronnie (Beverley) Owens of Slate Branch; sister Kathy Owens of Slate Branch; two grandchildren, Madison and Ashlee Slavey. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Hubert Owens.
He enjoyed sketching, drawing, music and fishing.
Visitation will be held on Sunday July 8th at 5 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday July 9th at 2 P.M. with Bro. Jamie Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
