Delano “Bob” Wilson, 68, of the High Street community formerly of Indianapolis Indiana departed from this life on June 29, 2012 in Somerset. He was born October 22, 1944 in Somerset, Kentucky son of the late Delno and Elsie Meeks Wilson.
Mr. Wilson retired from Eppson America of Plainfield, Indiana in 2006. He was a SPEC 4 in the United States Army from 1975-1977. He graduated from Somerset High School in 1964. Mr. Wilson was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed hunting mushrooms, watching old movies, NASCAR, watching sports on ESPN, and spending time with his family and friends. He was of the Church of God Faith.
He is survived by one brother, Doyle (Judy) Wilson of Somerset; Three Sisters, Geraldine Coomer of Science Hill, Lorene Hutcherson of Somerset, Katie Wilson of Ferguson. He was proceeded in death by his father, mother, two brothers, Ardis D Wilson, Arless E Wilson; One sister, Glenda Muse. Mr. Wilson will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation for Mr. Wilson will be conducted on Tuesday July 3, 2012 at 11 A.M. followed by funeral services at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday. All services will be held at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 38 Honor Guard. Brother David Muse officiating interment will follow at the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
