Mr. Denzil “Pete” Burton passed away Friday, May 25th, 2012 at Sunrise Manor. He was born on February 24, 1926, to Crolee C. Burton and Nillie Muse who both have preceded him in death.
Mr. Burton leaves behind one daughter Judy (Gene) Phillippi. Two sisters, Eva Jones of South Amhurst,Ohio and Eardean (Chester) Cain of Michigan. Two grandchildren, Jeff (Leisa) Phillippi and Kristy Hunley. Four great Grand Children, Allison Phillippi, Dylan Phillipi, Rachel Hunley, and Alex Hunley. Mr. Burton also leaves behind a special niece Carylene (Curtis) Flynn of Glasgow, Kentucky.
Along with his Parents Mr. Burton has three brothers, Arnold Burton, Wallace Burton, and Lawrence Burton preceding him in death and Four sisters Elma Jones, Aubrey Smith, Marlyn Burton, and Madlyn Burton.
Mr. Burton was of the Nazarene faith and attended the Science Hill Nazerene Church. Mr Burton was a retired mechanic and a Green Thumb Worker at Science Hill School.
Mr. Burton’s graveside services will be held Wednesday May 30, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at the Mill Springs National Cemetery with Bro. David Muse officiating.
