Roger D Jones, age 65, passed from this life on Thursday June 15, 2017 at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born on May 22, 1952 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Arnold and Mary Nevels Jones. Roger spent several years on the road as a Truck driver until his recent retirement. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed grilling and trucking
Roger leaves behind to cherish his memory, Brothers, Rodney (Loretta) Weaver, Monticello, Arnold and (Tiffany) Jones, Jr. and Davy and (Elizabeth) Jones all of St. George, South Carolina, along with Phillip Edward Jones of Hustonville, Kentucky Sisters; Kim (Albert) Calhoun, Somerset, Kathy (Roger) McClendon of Nancy; Nieces: Chenoa Keller, Tasha Guzman and Nephews: Austin Calhoun and Jason Phelps and a companion of several years; Leisa Hicks Jones.
A Private Celebration of Life Service and Burial was held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in the Serenity Garden of Southern Oaks Cemetery in Somerset.

My eldest Brother Roger, will be Missed & Loved Forever! So very hard to believe, but God has his reasons. My Nascar buddy! He was a Good Man and a Wonderful Brother! Love his SC Family,and other Family, everyone seems to have left out! Dear Jesus why? RIP Big Brother, I love you so.
