Berl Wendell Bray, age 69, of Somerset, passed from this life on Monday, April 3, 2017 at his residence.  He was born on February 28, 1948 in Squib, Kentucky to the late Oral and Dessie Woodall Bray. 

He was a laborer for many years in the rock quarry and concrete business.  Berl was a lover of nature and had a genuine passion for helping others, he enjoyed making walking canes, healing salve and had a “heart of gold”.  He was a very creative person and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Berl was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Bernard and Bobby Bray and two sisters; Wanda Bray and Brenda Carol Inabnitt. 

He is survived by his brother; David Bray of Somerset, six sisters; Betty Williamson of New Whiteland, Indiana, Bernadean Bray of Harrison, Ohio, Jalene Price of Somerset, Kentucky, Bonnie Lovins of New Whiteland, Indiana, Beulah Sanders of Somerset, Kentucky and Debra Mayfield of Bronston, Kentucky.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Bray will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date.
