Patty Gilley Powell, age 47, of Russell Springs, Kentucky died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. She was born on October 10, 1969 to Alice Gilley and the late Gene Gilley in Andalusia, Alabama.
She was an accountant for many years. Patty was married to Scottie Powell on August 1. 2003. She loved spending time with her nieces, Jessica and Emily Johnson and her beloved dog Tank.
Survivors include her husband; Scottie Powell of Russell Springs, Kentucky. A sister; Ann Hammonds (Rodger), a nephew; Eric Robinson (Lorin). A great nephew; Matthew Hammonds all of Andalusia, Alabama. Two special friends; Lajuiana Grief of Andalusia, Alabama and Tammy Sullivan Hare of Russell Springs, Kentucky. As well as a host of family and friends from Georgia, Kentucky and Alabama.
Her voice, laughter and stubbornness will be greatly missed by all.
A Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

My heart is broken with the lose of my sweet, wonderful,loving friend, that was just like my own daughter. The list of her meaning to me is too long to write. I’ll never forget you my ‘little girl’ as I always called you. You always called me your ‘little mommy’ and your second mother. What an honor for you to love and appreciate me that much. The thoughts of me never being with you again are unbearable. I had you in my life for 34 years and that wasn’t long enough. We had so many plans but God came to get you and take you home. I want to thank you Mother for sharing you with me. A special love to your husband, Scottie, whom I fell in love with not only because he loved you but he is a very special person, who I pray never forgets me.
