Cheryle Lee Creech past from this life peacefully at her home in Shopville, Kentucky on Sunday July 26, 2015 surrounded by her family at the age of 59.
She was born on June 7, 1956 in Somerset, KY., to Floyd and Dorothy Russell Mounce. She was a retired Pulaski County Deputy Judge.
Cheryle was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Mounce and a daughter, Trisha Caldwell.
She is survived by her loving husband, Russell Lee Creech Jr. whom she married on December 18, 1971 in Jellico, Tennessee. They had one son, Russell Lee Creech III and Angie Creech of Mt. Victory, KY; one daughter, Rebecca Jones and Jordan Jones of Shopville, KY; a son-in-law, Tony Caldwell of Somerset, KY; her Mother, Dorothy Mounce of Middlesburg, KY; one brother, Charles and Tiffany Mounce of Somerset, KY; four sisters, Barbara and Alton (Slim) Gunter of Mansville, KY; Tonya and Joe Twyman of Greenwood, IN; Robbie and Lindle Lee Eldridge of Shopville, KY; and Tammy and Keith Bowling of Middlesburg, KY. She was blessed with eleven wonderful grandchildren who meant the world to her, David Russell and Kayla Caldwell, Scotty Azure, Logan Creech, Allee Azure, Dominic Emerson, Christian Creech, Jared Emerson, Summer Emerson, Autumn Emerson, Natalee Jones and Katlynn Jones. Cheryle is extremely loved by so many. She had a side kick whom she loved as a sister, Linda (Nanaw) and Bill Inabnitt. She also had two men she thought of as her own sons, Scott Williams and Paul Inabnitt. Several nieces, nephews, many special friends, and a special friend she loved, Dixie Pinales of Versailles, KY.
She was a member of New Heart Baptist Church and loved her church family. We are extremely grateful for everything everyone has done.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 29, 2015 after 5pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday July 30, 2015 at 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Lawson and Bro. Gary Whitaker officiating.
Burial will follow in Renfro Cemetery in Dahl, KY. She will be carried to her final resting place by Pall Bearers including; David Russell Caldwell, Scotty Azure, Dominic Emerson, Christian Creech, Jaden Inabnitt, and Jared Emerson and Honorary Pall Bearers; Lindle Eldridge, Mason Bowling, and Jeremy Trentman. Songs she had picked, Far Side Banks of Jordan recorded for her by Bruce Denney and Casey Lawson, Lead Me Home by Jamey Johnson, and 80’s Ladies by KT Oslin which dedicated to Linda (Nanaw) Inabnitt and Bonnie Turner.
The family would like to thank everybody who came to visit, brought food, and sent prayers. The out pouring love for her from so many people was amazing and a comfort to the family.
