Mary Stogsdill, age 83, of Somerset, KY., passed away on Monday June 29, 2015 at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on September 3, 1931 in Science Hill, KY., to the late “Preacher” Hubert and Mary Lucy Hudson Wilson.
She attended Acorn Church of God and enjoyed her church family, cats, sewing, and talking to her friends on the phone.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Stogsdill, one son, Danny Stogsdill, two brothers, Lawrence Wilson and Noel Wilson, and her grandparents who raised her, Filmore and Mary Ellen Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Price (and Arlis Creech) of the Acorn Community; three brothers, Leon Sonny (and Martha) Wilson of Georgia, Darrell (and Glenda) Wilson of Somerset, KY; and Murrell Wilson of Somerset, KY; one sister, Kathy Grabeel of Somerset, KY; two grandchildren, Justin Price and Brian Farmer, two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Grayson, a special nephew, Donald (and Lisa) Crowder, a special cousin, David (and Elizabeth) Laeigh of Somerset, KY; an ex daughter-in-law, Cathy Stogsdill, an ex son-in-law, Jimmy Price, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2015 from 12pm to 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Harper officiating.
Burial will follow in Stogsdill Cemetery.
