David Murphy age 47 of Burnside, KY passed away on Saturday May 2, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Hospital.
He was born on July 19, 1967 in McCreary Co. KY to the late Cye and Mary Thompson Murphy.
David enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, carpenty work and working on vehicles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cye and Mary Murphy; one brother, Luther Murphy and one sister, Nora Ridner.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Hargis Murphy of Burnside, KY; four sons, Dustin Ray Murphy, David Brandon Murphy, John (Linda) Phelps and Dale Phelps all of Burnside, KY; one daughter, Ashley Nicole Murphy-Rodas of McCreary Co. KY; one brother, Cye Murphy of Burnside, KY; two sisters, Rhonda (Duckie) Ridner and Mildred White all of McCreary Co, KY; four grandchildren, Paige Phelps, America Murphy, Melinda Rodus-Murphy and Christopher Rodas. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday May 4th after 5pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2015 at 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Murphy Family Cemetery.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
